BEWARE BOGUS TELEPHONE CALLERS

BOGUS CALLERS ARE TARGETING THIS AREA

HOW DOES THE SCAM WORK?

A caller will phone you and suggest that they are calling you on behalf of your Doctor or local Hospital.  They may even mention the name of your surgery to convince you that the call is genuine. THIS IS A SCAM CALL.  Your GP will NEVER give out your contact telephone number and name and address to ANY company trying to sell you something. THIS IS A SCAM CALL!!

WHAT CAN I DO TO AVOID BEING A VICTIM?

REMEMBER THIS ADVICE:-

1. Your GP will NEVER share your contact telephone number or address.

2. Your GP will NEVER ask a company to call you to discuss your health.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I RECEIVE A ALL?

Hang up and NEVER hand over your card details.

Contact your local Police Station, call 101 or in an emergency always call 999.

THE FAMILY PRACTICE AIM:- is to work every day towards providing a high quality and a professional general practice service.

The doctors, practice nurses, practice manager and reception staff are dedicated in striving to provide excellent health care.  We want our patients to be involved in their own health care choices as far as possible.

The Practice is also a Teaching Practice and throughout the year a Medical Student will be attached to the practice and during that time they will accompany doctors and nurses in their clinics.  Patients will always be informed if a student is present and will be asked if they wish the student to leave or not.

Their training also includes home visits with GP's and working along side the District Nurses.

The website will be updated regularly and hopefully will also be a useful resource for medical information / advice eg: self-care of minor illnesses or ailments.

Have a look around our website and do send us some feedback. We can use your thoughts to improve our online services & further develop the website to make it more useful for our patients.

WE ARE TRYING TO ORGANISE A TEXTING SERVICE FOR

UPDATING PRACTICE INFORMATION AND CONTACTING

PATIENTS WITH PENDING APPOINTMENTS. WE WOULD

APPRECIATE AN UP TO DATE MOBILE TELEPHONE NUMBER, IF AVAILABLE.
